The Caravan
The Feminist Transnational Caravan takes the project on the road, travelling across Europe and creating spaces where young people can learn, exchange perspectives and take action around feminism and gender equality.
Starting in Liège, Belgium, the Caravan will travel through Bonn and Berlin in Germany, Wrocław and Kraków in Poland and Timișoara and Bucharest in Romania.
At each stop, the Caravan becomes a space for meeting local communities, organisations, activists and initiatives and for exploring feminist issues from different perspectives.
Learning from the people we meet
Each city brings a different context and a different conversation.
Throughout the journey, participants will take part in workshops led by local organisations, activists and community members. The planned topics reflect the diversity and intersectionality of feminist struggles across Europe and beyond.
Along the route, participants will explore topics including:
⚪ solidarity with Palestinian women and women's resistance;
⚪ feminist development politics and the rights of women workers in the Global South;
⚪ ecofeminism and activism within diverse communities;
⚪ abortion rights;
⚪ body discrimination and fat liberation; queer feminism; and feminist perspectives on the cities and communities we encounter.
These encounters give participants the opportunity not only to learn about different feminist realities, but also to exchange experiences and connect struggles that may look different from one place to another
Taking feminism into public spaces
The Caravan is not only about learning within the group.
Street activities will bring conversations into public spaces and create opportunities to interact directly with people in the cities we visit. Participants will put their campaigning skills into practice, experiment with different ways of engaging the public and create spaces for dialogue around the topic of gender based violence facilitated by Technology.
Film screenings with short films from the Bucharest Feminist Film Festival and local events will create further opportunities to meet, reflect and start conversations with local communities.

As the Caravan moves from city to city, we will collect and share the stories, ideas and perspectives of the people we meet along the way.
Through photos, videos, participants' experiences and stories from local activists, artists and communities, you will be able to follow the journey online and discover what feminism looks like across different European contexts.

The Feminist Transnational Caravan is a collaborative European project bringing together five organisations from Belgium, Serbia, Germany, Finland and Romania.
Each partner brings its own experience, perspectives and connection to local communities, while working together towards a shared goal: empowering young people and youth workers to become active agents of change on feminist issues and gender equality.
Together, the organisations support the learning community, contribute to the development of the Caravan and its activities, co-create and share project materials, and bring the project's messages and results into their local and national contexts.
